DIY Cinnamon Oil. When I was in elementary school the commodity for sale was toothpicks with cinnamon oil. About $0.10 each. SO SIMPLE tutorial at Deliciously Organized here. *Cinnamon Oil is usually really expensive, so I’m all about saving money right now.

Pretty Painted Pumpkins | Alisa Burke
These pumpkins are super classy. These are the kinds of pumpkins I imagine Oprah would have on her stoop. But hers would probably be made by Martha Stewart with real gold. Anyway, you can make these classy pumpkins for yourself with some great instructions from Alisa. I love the blue and pink pumpkins - they remind me of what Cinderella rode to the ball!

Pretty Pretty Hair | Bettencourt Chase
A hairstyle that lives up to it’s name! I love those hairstyles that look messy/beautiful, like a girl who lives on the prairie who’s just pinned up her hair randomly so she can go pick wild flowers! Oh Emma. Anyway, this style takes a bit of effort, but once you’ve worked it out you’ll be gold!

Lace Lamp Shade | Add Some Paint
This lamp shade follows the same lines as the coffee table I posted earlier - you simply wrap it in lace, spray with spray paint and peel off the lace- voila! You’re very own designer shades! And the fact that you can get lamp shades so cheap from places like IKEA, you can change up whenever you want. And of course if you don’t like lace you can use any other kind of pattern - use some store bought stencils or cut out your own.

DIY Enlarge and Frame Old Letters. Love this idea. From Southern Living here. My Grandfather used to address letter to me in gorgeous old fashioned script and they would look so lovely enlarged, like when he simply wrote to me at Chase Manhattan Bank, NYC and it actually got to me because I worked in the building! But it could be sentimental cards, letters, envelopes with interesting stamps - anything that means something to you. Places like adorama (my favorite for quality and sale prices) often have great sales on big prints.
